#VinceGAtTheMovies and #VinceGMovieReviews MMFF Edition: “Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 2: #ForeversNotEnough

My next review for this MMFF is “Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 2: #ForeverIsNotEnough” Starring: Eugene Domingo, Jericho Rosales, Kean Cipriano, Cai Cortez, Khalil Ramos, Joel Torre! Written by Chris Martinez and Directed by Marlon Rivera! Here’s my review with photo on top:

The film  was a very hilarious sequel of the hit 2011 satire film/ film about world of filmmaking from start to finish(esp the ending)! In this sequel they satirizing the mainstream love story genre and Eugene Domingo plays the fictionalized version of herself(Eugene Domingo as Eugene Domingo As Romina) as well as Jericho Rosales and The Mr Joel Torre as the fictionalized version of theirselves as the 2 Cesars! It was well-crafted by the greats Direk Chris Martinez(for writing the story) and Direk Marlon Rivera(for the direction), camera shots and the screenplay was perfect!! One of the my fave funny parts were the imagination scenes, the levels of hugot and the ending! The cast especially Eugene Domingo, Jerico Rosales and The Mr Joel Torre and some cameos did a brillant/hilarious performance in this film!! Eugene Domingo nailed it again also in her comeback film which proved also that “Eugene Domingo Awakens” ! The lines and the scenes were very hilarious One of the settings in this film Baguio was a perfect location for this sequel! The Version of The theme song Forever is not enough by Jona was a perfect choice for this film! Kudos to Martinez Rivera productions(producer of Direk Chris Martinez and Marlon Rivera) co-produced with the producers of “English Only Please” and “Walang Forever”, Quantum Films, MJM Productions, Tuko Film Productions and Butchi Boy Films, 2 of the greats Direk Chris Martinez and Marlon Rivera for another brillant film/continuation! This is a must see continuation this Metro Manila Film Festival!! Please remind that dont leave the cinemas yet during the credits(even after) for the hilarious surprise! Rated PG by the MTRCB!

#VinceGAtTheMovies and #VinceGMovieReviews MMFF Edition: “Vince & Kath & James”

Happy Holidays! So my review #1 for this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival is “Vince & Kath & James” based on a hit online series that turned into a book starring Joshua Garcia, Julia Barretto, Ronnie Alonte, Maris Racal and many more! Directed by the great Theodore Boborol! Here’s my review(under the photos):

The film was a very cute, romantic, funny and feel good romantic comedy film of a modern love triangle from start to finish!! It was great, well made, well told and light, very millenial, heartwarming and inspiring thats why its Graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board(CEB) and its deserving! The direction of Theodore Boborol, acting, musical scoring, screenplay of Daisy G. Cayanan, Kim R. Noromor, Anjanette M. Haw, lines(esp humorous, hugot and cheesy lines), collaboration/chemistry of Joshua Garcia, Julia Barretto and Ronnie Alonte was perfect and this is their launching film! It was also well acted and well directed!!! The lines were humorous and romantic and the quotes esp the blog parts were very quoatable! The film also have lots of lessons to learn and aside from love its also about family! I also love the editing esp the text message effects! The new faces in this film is really what made this a refreshing film! The 4 of them( Julia Barretto, Joshua Garcia, Ronnie Alonte and Maris Racal(who played as Kath’s BFF Maxine) ) did great in this film and aside from acting they also did great in delivering humorous lines and acting! Julia Barretto’s acting was natural, I really saw Joshua Garcia as the next “John Lloyd Cruz” and he’s the revalation and Maris Racal did great in her supporting role as Kath’s bestfriend Maxine and she had a funny characteristic too and i had lots of laughs at her also! The  Soundtrack in this film: “O Pag-ibig” by Ylona Garcia and Bailey May( Himig Handog Ppop Love Songs 2016 finalist) 2 versions of the 2nd theme song of the film which is VKJ’s Songwriting Competition for theme song winner “Hey Crush” version #1 by Voltz Valejo and version #2 by Joshua Garcia, 2 of the finalist from Himig Handog Ppop Love Songs 2014 “Simpleng Tulad Mo” by Daniel Padilla and “Walang Basagan Ng Trip” by Jugs and Teddy and Dapit-Hapon by Ebe Dancel were the perfect choice for this film(official soundtrack available on Spotify and Itunes)! This is one of the cutest filipino Romantic Comedy film i’ve ever saw and this is my new fave now and best filipino film ive seen this 2016 and in MMFF Love Story Genre! Kudos to Star Cinema, blockbuster director of “Just The Way You Are” and high rating director of one of his tv series “Be My Lady” the great Theodore Boborol and author of the online series that turned into book version Jenny Ruth Almocera for making this film possible and to the whole team for another feel good and romantic rom-com! This is a must see Romantic Film this Metro Manila Film Festival!! Graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board(CEB) and Rated PG by the MTRCB feel good film for everyone especially for family and friends!
